Used in a university course

I used this for an Eastern Religions course and it had nice explanations of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Confucianism. For Taoism and Shinto I had to search a lot of outside resources. Written clearly but it talks more about the geographical and historical aspects of religion rather than the spirituality/mysticism.

Rented through Amazon for a History of World Religions Class. This book covers the basics of the Five World Religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism, in the context of the past, present and future. A well written textbook.
