A powerful read even for a Non-Christian.

Warning- this is a Christian based book that expresses ideas in a biblical manner. Having said that, I recommend this book for any struggling parent regardless of religious background. These are common sense principles that are merely backed up by biblical teachings- meaning the ideas could be from any religion, universal in a way.
A powerful read- as a non- Christian I was able to 'ignore' the heavy Biblical references and hold on to the exceptional advice.
As someone who is right in the thick of boundary work with my two small children (4 and 2), this book has been something I've clung to when the s*** has hit the fan- literally and figuratively.
With very few boundaries to begin with this book has pinpointed key areas to work on, simple sayings to get you through the empathizing with their pain process and ways to implement at certain ages.
One thing I appreciate is that this book has brought light to not only my kid's issues but my own as well.
This book is a must read for those who can see past religion and accept help from those that carry the wisdom- highly suggested.

Good Stuff

This is a great book and can definitely help you with your kids if you let it. The negative reviews clearly didn't want to try something different --- maybe because they think they know it all already. For me and my wife, we are very glad we got this and went through it with our small group.
FYI, don't just get the videos and participant's guide - get the book with it and read it along with the guide. For planning, the guide is 8 sessions long.

This book has honestly changed my life:)

I have a 5.5 year old that likes to give me problems, especially when Dad leaves for work every other month. This book made a HUGE difference in how she and I interact. Last month when he left, I was at my wits end and we were both in tears most nights. After reading this book, we have a much better relationship. I like how this book has a more old school approach..so many parents these days are told to let their kids have more freedom etc, but in reality, kids need structure and guidance. Accountability is huge and that is what has made the biggest difference in my life with my kid..this book teaches you how to explain to your child that everything that happens in their life is in direct correlation with the choices they make. Its a simple concept once you "get" it. Plus you have to 100% stick to your guns. I am an atheist and I still recommend this book to anyone.
