This is an intersting book to open a general view in the subject of trust, and it's interface with the social system, and the relations that are stablished in it. It may be a good star to one who is interested in a deeper dive in the subject - but just a start, something to get you familiar with the basics ideas.

The author presents this book as a cumulative effort to clarify sociological issues surround the study of trust in contemporary society providing a theoretical review of trust as a fundamental component of human actions. Sztompka discusses the foundation and functions of sociological trust theory, the emergence and decay of trust within cultures and identifies functional substitutes for trust. The discussion of trust is presented from the sociological paradigm of communism and postcommunist social order. The book defines several trust phenomena: Sztompka presents several trust "dimensions": trust is an dimension of civic culture; trust becomes an important aspect of civil society, once the concept is given cultural meaning, trust fares is an important dimension of culture and social capital, and trust is linked to post materialistic values. The researcher defines trust as: "a bet about the future contingent actions of others". Sztompka defines three functional substitutes when interpersonal and institutional trust collapses: providentialism: a resigned acceptance of existing conditions; corruption: which replaces all normal channels of power and influence to develop trust purchasing favor, and ghettoization: where individuals escape into enclaves of closeness, familiarity, and security.

About the Author
Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri (Mechanism). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. From Genin to Hokage, Everyone Will Enjoy This Book!!!

I was hesitant to buy this book, thinking it will be just another of those information books(from most series) which touches stuffs you already know. Man, I was wrong. This book is thicker and a bit bigger than the usual Naruto manga. And the information inside are just amazing, it covers everything from Naruto manga #1-43. I will give you guys a short summary of what to expect:

Shinobi Data - shows every character in Naruto, what village they are from, their rank, skills, what significant things they did, etc. Most characters got 2 pages, but some got more.

Jutsu Data - lots of jutsu explained(with art of course).

Illustrations Data - sketches/blueprints of Naruto's creator, as well as a short story only found in this book.

Shinobi Facts - more data about important groups, events.

Naruto Dictionary - as it implies, dictionary of the terms in Naruto, as well as places and the likes.

Character Data - from height comparison to who belongs to which blood type, relationship charts, and more!

Reader Survey - survey from Shonen Jump Weekly, about questions like "who do you want to be a teacher?" to "favorite battles"... Its an interesting fact from other fans!

Konoha Collection - just random info you may or may not know, like how Naruto got his name. This one is scattered throughout the book.

The first few pages by the way is colored, and it says "Naruto Best Scene", I dont know who picked this(maybe Masashi himself), but yes, it shows some of the coolest scenes of the series.

Overall, I didnt regret buying this one bit. Again, I was a bit hesitant at first, but now, I can say it is money well spent. The amount of data here is just staggering, and will really help new fans to catch up(beware of spoilers though), old fans to recap/reminisc their Naruto knowledge, and for the collectors to enjoy. And there is always something new to learn for everyone here, may you be a genin or Hokage! SO GO BUY THIS BOOK! ITS AWESOME! BELIEVE IT!

What every fan wants to know.

This book contains a lot of information about individual characters and jutsu, as well as some fun facts. I enjoyed reading about the character's food likes and dislikes, their height, weight, interests, skills, and others. It also contains poll rankings, Q and A with the author, and a short comic. If you're an obsessive Naruto fan who wants to know everything about the Naruto world this is the book for you. There are a couple of mistakes I noticed though; overall it's great!

I love it because it is full of information on the characters like Naruto, Sasuke Sakura and Kakashi. I love this book 'cause I learned about the Rinnegan and Pain. I LOVE THIS ANIME SHOW SOOOOOOOOO MUCH !!

This book has been very useful to me. I am studying for a B.C.E (Board Certified Entomologist) and this book is detailed enough to be helpful, yet not so verbose as to make you want to poke your eyes out and feed them to the cat while reading it.

The almost-definitive first text for the short course in medical entomology

One of the best, most thorough short books out there on the subject -- easy to tote around, concise, yet readable and even enjoyable. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the stinging arthros are skipped out on, but if that's important to you, your best bet might be downloading the notes pages from the University of California's course pages website (I'd recommend, honestly, snagging all of their pages from their micro and parasitology departments -- these are GOOD notes and videos, priceless and yet price-less), and/or snagging a copy of the appropriate (and it will be longer) chapter on subject same from "Medical and Veterinary Entomology" (which is probably my 5-star GET THIS IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT text/reference and all-around reader on the subject. It's thorough, it's got good pictorial coverage, and it's incredibly readable -- but expensive (worth it, but what good is that if you can't afford it -- and you'll RARELY (read: probably NEVER) find a cheap used copy on here or anywhere).

As for this particular (short, handy, soft-cover and light) book: Note well that if you're taking an undergrad course in med (and maybe also vet) parasitology with entomology, this book is the most often used book in my experience. It can be well-supplemented (especially in the graphics section, which is admittedly poor, save for the very helpful line drawings and graphs) by John T. Sullivan's "Electronic Atlas of Parasitology" CD (currently in Version 2.02 (as far as I know), available from the author who is a professor at UC-San Francisco, via ebay, and possibly also via Amazon, for somewhere around $12-15).

All in all, I thoroughly recommend this book, ESPECIALLY for anybody reviewing for exams or finals, where it truly shines for its concision and well-thought-out format. If you've got labs (and especially if you have a lot of lab quizzes), this book will only get you so far in preparation for that portion of your education (for eg, while you might find descriptions of differentiating culex from aedes, the pictures themselves are pretty much necessary, take my word) -- do do the extra work and obtain something with good pictorial (color is preferable but not necessary) views... even if it is a book specifically on field entomology & identification, or in combination with that CD (more helpful with the parasitology portion, to be honest).

Very helpful for English learners

This is a great (e)-book for those who are not native speakers of English. I have been living in the U.S. for a couple of years and I find phrasal verbs one of the most difficult thing to learn. The author has a very unique way of teaching phrasal verbs that is actually fun to read. Phrasal verbs are actually used in mini stories that wouldn't bore you. I would recommend this book to both intermediate and advanced English learners.

No need to recommend it more. Just buy it on this price. If you've suffered from Phrasal Verbs...
The writer knows that how to make people memorize the phrasal verbs.
His approaches takes the typical way in order to memorize something but it's really efficient way and easy.
As a matter of fact, I read the book written by Dominic O'Brian who is the proper memory magician.
His approach takes the common methods to memorize verbs similarly same as Dominic's offered in that book.
